Ryan's interest in mechanics started long before automotive repair became his career. As a child, he was fascinated by anything with moving parts and regularly took things apart just to understand how they worked.
That curiosity eventually moved from household items and appliances to engines, vehicles and hands-on automotive repair.
What began as an interest in motors and machines eventually became decades of automotive experience, technical training and a commitment to serving customers the right way.

A Natural Mechanic
Ryan's fascination with mechanical systems began in childhood and eventually expanded into repairing cars for friends and family.
Miles Automotive Opens
Ryan and Jennifer opened Miles Automotive in Talent, Oregon on October 8, 2012, building a reputation around accurate diagnosis, preventative maintenance and customer-focused service.
The Alameda Wildfire
On September 8, 2020, the Alameda Wildfire destroyed Miles Automotive. The shop and everything inside it were lost.
A New Chapter In Bend
Rather than rebuilding the same shop, Ryan and Jennifer looked for a new opportunity and found Wade Bryant's Auto Repair in Bend. The business was purchased on September 1, 2021.
